WHY CONSIDER?
Professionals in the field of human performance are dedicated to helping individuals attain optimal physical performance through the use of various training methods. Our students are athletic trainers, athletic coaches, personal trainers, exercise specialists, and physical educators. The M.Ed. in Kinesiology:

Human Performance prepares professional leaders in the conditioning field to utilize the latest training philosophies and techniques. Graduates are prepared to use scientific knowledge and clinical experience in a safe and efficacious manner to implement human performance programs.

COURSE STRUCTURE
The human performance specialization consists of 36 credit hours, including 15 hours in the M.Ed. in Kinesiology core and an additional 21 hours in the human performance area. The Kinesiology core provides an opportunity for scholarly or applied activity in professionally relevant areas with an option for a master thesis or project. A scientific foundation is developed through a review of basic exercise physiology with an emphasis on applied research. The course sequence may be completed in two years of full time study or part-time study according to a plan negotiated during the admission process.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR ADMISSION?
A baccalaureate degree in exercise science, physical education, athletic training, health education or related field from an accredited institution and a GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale for the upper division major courses in undergraduate study with undergraduate statistics or equivalent.
